I've ordered three birthday cakes here and every one matched the brief exactly — soft sponge, rich chocolate that stops short of cloying, and turnaround fast enough to rescue a last-minute panic. The gift boxes of cupcakes and brownies were a mixed bag, with the brownies clearly the stronger half. Order the cake and skip the box.
