Very good place for gold purchasing, paid parking available, 5 / riyal / hour.
So many shops to browse and compare prices from. Exceptional pieces and options of gold and white gold as well. Parking is limited but ride share to and from is very easy, but traffic in the area can be much. Generally accessible but there are some road/pavement issues in some spots.
The mood on the Souq as a bit strange with lots of people trying to get you into their shops. There was a lot of choices but on the other hand it looked like all of the same same and a lot of bling bling. We haven't found any nice stuff we ended up buying. Souk Waqif was a much nicer experience.
